I was born and raised in Turkiye, a place that shaped my love for both nature and exploration. Over the years, I’ve lived and worked in Cyprus, China, Germany, Belgium, Ohio, California, and New York, picking up languages (Turkish, English, Spanish, and some rusty Chinese) and perspectives along the way.
My family is still in Turkiye. My father is a doctor, my mother an environmental engineer, and my brother a lawyer. We reunite once a year, a grounding ritual that reminds me where I come from no matter how far I’ve gone.

The ocean is my second home. I’m a PADI instructor, GUE-trained technical and cave diver, and a member of The Explorers Club. I’ve logged 500+ dives across 25+ countries: descending into wrecks in the Northeast, weaving through caves in Mexico, and helping restore coral in the Caribbean.
In 2026, I embarked on my most ambitious journey yet: diving in Antarctica, becoming the first Turk to dive its icy waters. It was an expedition years in the making, and one I hope inspires others to chase their goals.
Professionally, I wear a few hats:
Founder & CEO of GO Renewables & Consulting, a boutique clean energy advisory firm specializing in project finance, capital raising, and fractional executive leadership.
Adjunct Faculty at Columbia and Johns Hopkins, teaching renewable energy project finance.
Owner and Chief Instructor at GO for a Dive, the premier provider of private scuba instruction in the Northeast United States.
Advisor at Pivotal180, helping shape the next generation of finance professionals.

My career has been about one thing: turning complex financing into real-world clean energy projects that make a difference.

I’ve been strength training 4–5 times per week for over a decade, and in 2027, I plan to step on stage for my first bodybuilding competition. My current personal bests: 350 lb squat, 415 lb deadlift, 280 lb bench press.
Outside the gym, I love long bike rides. In 2022, I completed Climate Ride’s Glacier National Park route: 220 miles, 7,000 feet of elevation change, raising $77,544 for Glacier National Park Conservancy.
Music has been a constant since I was seven. I picked up the guitar first, then the drums, and never put them down. Today, I play drums in a Montclair-based rock band called Travers Place. We play shows across NY/NJ. Loud, messy, and full of adrenaline.

Whether through finance, diving, fitness, music, or flying, I try to live in places where pressure is highest, because that’s where growth happens.
